We have lots of free car parking spaces. Our members-only swimming facility is designed specifically for children aged 0-11 to learn to swim, which is a vital life skill. Our lessons are delivered by expert teachers and are fun and progressive. We have small class sizes and teachers in the water with beginners. Adopting a child-led approach, we commit to ensuring your child has the best 30 minutes of their week. All swimmers’ achievements are celebrated with certificates and stickers. With a simple online booking process and a monthly direct debit, we will take your child from splash to swim!

Here at swim! Batley, we do things differently. Led by Olympians Becky Adlington OBE and Steve Parry MBE, we are on a mission to get every child in the UK swimming. Great lessons! The pool is the same depth throughout so ideal for kids lessons. The teaching method is great too; my 4 year old goes in the pool independently with armbands on and a noodle. Maximum of 6 in a class. She has been far more confident with swim! than she ever was with a previous place where the parents went in the pool but there were no swim aids. The previous place also had an obsession with dunking the children underwater, whereas swim! encourage kids to put their faces in the water, as a long term preparation for underwater swimming. Just pleased to see my daughter enjoying swimming, rather than the previous place where it felt like a punishment at times.

I joined swim! when my little boy was only 4 months as we were keen for him to be confident in the water. We love the place from the changing rooms to the actual lessons. The instructors are all so lovely and confident in what they do. My little boy is now 10 months absolutely loves the sessions and super confident in the water even if he does spend the time just splashing me

Absolutely amazing swimming lessons. Our son is autistic and has learning difficulties but they are all so brilliant and patient with him. The facility itself is new, and has amble changing rooms as well as a car park. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to start to swim or continue on their swimming journey.

My son had his taster session this afternoon, and the teachers were amazing with him! he got a bit upset at one point and he can be hard to calm down, but the teacher managed to calm him pretty much instantly, my son came away from the lesson absolutely suited with himself and can't wait to come again

We had a taster session this afternoon and I was really impressed with the whole place! Clean, warm changing rooms with lockers. The toilets and shower area was clean too. A lovely seating area for parents to watch their children swimming and the pool was clean, tidy and warm. The staff were really helpful and brilliant with my son who was quite nervous. We have now booked lessons and I am looking forward to watching my son become more confident and learning to swim.

We do offer one-to-one swimming lessons for children on certain days and certain times. There is limited availability and they run alongside our group lessons which have a maximum of 6 children in.

We do sell a range of swimwear and googles at our centre as well as swim toys.
We offer intensive courses and one-to-one swimming lessons in school holidays. If you would like more information please speak to someone at our centre.
We are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 8.30pm. Weekends we are open 7.30am to 7.30pm.
Our pool is 18 metres wide by 7 metres long and 1.3 metres deep.
At swim! Batley we offer child-friendly, modern, fun changing rooms set up as mixed-sex changing villages with cubicles and open changing options available. There is a designated pram park, baby changing, and lockers. Please bring a padlock to secure the lockers. Showers are provided to use pre-lesson and post-lesson along with vanity units and hairdryers.
Our comfortable viewing lounge has a clear view of your child’s lesson – you can also grab a coffee. Why not catch up online using our free WIFI? We also have a play area suitable for siblings to come along too!
Just one adult is required to be in the pool assisting your little one in their baby swim! lesson. Our comfortable viewing lounges provide a clear view of the pool so a friend or family member can watch you and your baby during your lesson.
