We want individuals to use their new teaching skills as soon as possible and get immersed in lessons and get straight into employment, therefore we combine the Swim England Qualifications Level 1 Swimming (Assistant) and Level 2 Swimming (Teacher) qualifications together for a fantastic price of £995
The cost can be spread over the duration of your course, with a 20% deposit and full payment required 30 days after the final lesson.
We do offer courses just for those wanting a small, first step with just a Level 1 Swimming (assistant) course at £395 and for those who already have Level 1 and want to upskill, you can also complete Level 2 for £695.
We also offer lots of internal training for those starting their swim! career with us at swim! including baby and early years, adult teaching, lifesaving, first aid and more!
Yes. You need to be at least 16 years old before the first day of all our courses. Be confident to stand and move in water and able to swim – even if it’s only a little way!
If you want to join our Swim England Level 2 course, you will need to hold a Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teacher) or an Swim England Level 1 Award in Teaching Aquatics (or equivalent qualification) certificated after 1994.
The Swim England Level 1 Swimming (Assistant) Course is really practical and designed to teach you all the skills you need to work under the direct supervision of a fully qualified teacher, helping and supporting with learn to swim lessons for 3 year olds and older.
The Level 2 Swimming Teacher Course provides you with the industry standard to work as a fully qualified swimming teacher and be able to teach learn to swim lessons as the lead teacher, responsible for planning, great delivery and continued evaluation. Our course integrates swim! Tutors top tips on how to deliver fun and high quality lessons whilst ensuring you are delivering great swimming lessons.
Our courses are flexible, adaptable and designed to be delivered around busy lives! We run a blended programme of virtual interactive lessons online, with a home study digital classroom, connected with live practical experience in one of our many venues shadowing, assisting and eventually leading your own lessons. All with dedicated support and mentoring by one of our experienced swim! tutors.
We also run some courses with more face-to-face learning at a venue for those who want to get qualified through a more intensive and practical programme.

Our swim! tutors are carefully selected and experienced to be able to create a great learning environment for all people on the course. We understand that people learn at different rates and have different needs so our team and courses will ensure we find out how best you learn and our tutors will adapt the courses to suit your needs. Yes, we are in a unique position to help you find work once you have qualified as we run our own Learn to Swim programmes. We have some amazing venues and programmes in over 50 locations across the UK. You will not need a DBS to attend the course, as you will be under the direct supervision of our expert swim! tutors, however you will need one before you start any employment. Speak to your current or future employer to arrange this for you so you can get started as soon as you get your qualifications
We pride ourselves in the highest quality training and assessment, so all our courses once completed undertake a quality assurance process. Once this process is complete around 28 days after your completion, swim! careers will claim your digital certificate from the awarding organisation and email this over to you as soon as we receive it! The whole process can last 4-6 weeks.
All Swim England qualifications remain valid with no expiry date.
Some of our other qualifications require revalidation and reassessment and all this will be covered on the relevant course programmes.
