swim@ St Ambrose Closure Update

Dear swimmers and families,

We are very sorry to share a further update regarding the delayed re‑opening of the pool at St Ambrose.

Unfortunately, we have been made aware that works on the pool have not progressed as per the initial 8 week timeline we were told at the start of the year.

This means lessons will not be resuming in the next few weeks as previously hoped, and at this stage we do not have an accurate timeline as to when the pool will re-open, though we continue to hope it will be soon.

We know how disappointing and frustrating this news is. We share your frustration and disappointment and are truly sorry for the extended closure.

The situation remains out of our control, as the pool is owned and managed by the school, and we have no influence over repair timelines or operational decisions unfortunately.

Direct Debit pause:

Because of the extended closure we did not take February or March Direct Debit payments. We will now of course NOT take April’s Direct Debit payment.

This will automatically be paused while the pool remains closed. No action is required your side.

Important: Please do not cancel your Direct Debit, as this will cause the system to treat you as a leaver and relinquish your place for when we do re-open

Alternate lessons are still available at our other venues nearby:

If you have already transferred to one of our nearby venues, this email is for information only as an update on your lessons restarting at our St Ambrose pool, your lessons will continue as normal at your alternative pool until a re-open date is confirmed.

If you have not already transferred to one of our alternative pools, as we said earlier in the year, ensuring our swimmers keep on swimming during this closure is a priority for us and we can make space for you at our other venues, 15-20 minutes away;

Swim! Warrington   (Just off the M6 / M62 at Winwick, WA2 8RF)
Swim@ Cheadle Hulme   (Located within Cheadle School, SK8 6EF)

If you wish to swap over to lessons at one of these venues until St Ambrose re-opens, please complete the form, by following this link https://swim.short.gy/ambtrans and our team will be in touch to match a time and day to suit you. We’re keen to help so please do get in touch.

We are genuinely sorry for the ongoing inconvenience and the repeated disappointment the delays have caused. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support through a situation that is extremely frustrating for everyone involved.

We will send you another update next month, when we know more about the timings.

We cannot wait to welcome you back to the pool as soon as it is ready.

With our very best wishes and ongoing apologies,

The swim@ St Ambrose Team
