Here at swim@ we deliver the same bespoke learn to swim programme and it is delivered by our expert teachers. At swim@ edinburgh city west, we have lessons for ages 3+ compared to swim! where we cater for ages 0-11.
At swim@ edinburgh city west we teach lessons from the convenience of Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools. By delivering lessons from the school pool we are able to teach high-quality lessons to more children and give back to the local community. We invest in the local school pool and in many instances help prevent the closure of more pools across the country.
You can still expect small class sizes, fun weekly-themed lessons and enthusiastic and engaging teachers.
At swim@ we offer a bespoke programme which focuses on water safety, fun and great technique. We have small class sizes allowing for individual feedback and progression.
Lessons have fun themes each week and our teachers are highly skilled and experts at what they do.

Parking is free within the school grounds.
Entrance to ESMS Swimming pool is via the School gates on Ravelston Terrace, EH4 3TP. When you turn into the school grounds the swimming pool will be directly in front of you, with the Main Entrance to Sports Centre is round next to the Hockey fields.
When you enter the sports centre, a member of the swim@ Edinburgh team will be located at reception. The swimming pool and changing rooms are located upstairs within the venue with stairs directly in front of you when entering venue. At the top of the stairs, turn right into the corridor leading to the pool. Within this corridor, female changing rooms are on the left and male changing rooms are on the right.
Children and parents are advised to arrive on poolside no more than 5 minutes before the start of their class.
When entering poolside, a parent MUST be with your child until they are collected by the class teacher. This means that a parent must accompany them to the zone letter provided by reception. Drop-off zones are located at the entrance door side of the pool.
When the class has 5 minutes left, Parents can come back onto poolside for collection. Please stand at the same zone letter, but on the far side of the pool. This will allow the teacher to easily find each child’s parent and also provide a short discussion on the lesson.
After your child has been collected by the class teacher, all parents need to leave the poolside but must remain close by. Parents can wait in the dining room at the end of the corridor or can choose to brave the cold at the window
Lessons are £49.99 per month, which covers one 30 minute lesson per week.
Our lessons run for 50 weeks in the year, with the only closure period being between Christmas and New Year.
